One of my all time idols besides my dad when it comes to BBQing was there. Mr Harvey Gebhard the ledgend, was there and our goal was to hang with him. We did fairly well my wonderful wife placed 8th in beans considering the Tolbert Bean champion and his crew were there so she hanged, kudos to you babe. We Took First on Steak, First in Chef Choice, Second and Third in Beef Fajitas, Second in Beans, Second in Beef Ribs, Third in Dessert…..I mean SHIT we got very lucky this past weekend…Could not have done any better and of course it rained on us again…Mind Frame kick Ass great music guys….And a big thank you to my crew Tony, Santos and my wife that are ALWAYS there for the team and especially to my mom and dad that helped me compete, I could not ask more from the greatest parents in the world…Dad your Brisket rules and mom you pecan pie is the best…I love you all very much…
Burnt Bean Co…….
Let’s see, how do I start off. Well, besides the one inch of rain in thirty minutes and the flood that took down a lot of my fellow cookin’ buddies’ tents, let’s just say I wished I would of stayed home. The cooking spot that we received was more like a ditch so they had to move us, and the sudden disappearance of our turn boxes the smell of my rotten ribs that I bought and had no idea until I removed them from the smoker. The weekend Sucked!!! Well the best thing is that my wife carried the whole team on her back and placed third on beans…So kudos to my sexy wife. I thank everyone who showed up and drank some cold ones with us and to Bette and Matt who took care of the lil’ one while we competed thank you very much. And to the lady who took one of our t-shirts and said that she was going to pay me and didn’t….NOT COOL!!!!! You’re not worthy to wear it!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who passed by and hanged out with us this past weekend. I know we were stuffed like sardines and the weather sucked. But hey cold beer and great BBQ its better than being at home doing nothing. We took 1st Cooks Choice, 2nd in Ribs, 9th in Chicken, and 5th in Showmanship.
Thank You,
