My name is Jeff Clopp and I am the Chief of Police in Kirbyville, Texas. I am hosting the annual cook off and car show to benefit my local CrimeStoppers organization, and I need your help. If you cannot make this event please pass this along to everyone you know who might be interested.
I wanted to invite you and your cook tem to our annual fundraiser cook off and car show. I am sorry for the late notice but other circumstances have caused me to lose some of my entries. I have several celebrities coming and they will be signing autographs and maybe helping with some of the judging. We will have 4 categories and you can cook in one or all of them. They are going to be brisket, ribs, chicken, and an open pork category. We will be awarding trophies for all categories. There will be a pot luck bean cook off Sat. the entry fee for this will be $10.00 extra with the money to be split between the winner and crime stoppers. I have attached a flyer for this event for your convenience. This event will be held Fri Oct. 23 and Sat Oct. 24. Cookteams can arrive Fri night and set up. We will have judges on hand to judge the best decorated pitt area on Friday night. The cook off and judging will be held on Sat. there will be many nice show cars and motorcycles on hand. If you wish to enter the normal fee is $100.00 but since I am very late getting this out I am only going to charge $75.00 per team. Also there will be plenty of things going on Friday night such as the VIP party and a catered meal for anyone wishing to come to that. Thanks to you and Dale for letting us hang out at Canyon Lake. Jerry and I will be in Uvalde as well. He wouldn’t miss his big hometown event either! Hopefully this time we will have better weather!
